Hewlett Packard, a pacesetter in telecommunications training for its own employees, has now offered to match 3000 of its employees with an equivalent number of students in grades 5-12. Along with the Fulfillment Fund, it is strongly endorsed by key mentoring organizations. The design of this site can serve as an excellent model for other companies, because it includes tips for mentors, resources, and, above all, a strong commitment to community outreach.Hewlett-Packard is included as one of the excellent models. This packet is an outstanding resource--to the point and inclusive of the various opportunities available.Another useful set of tips for productive online mentoring is located at UC Irvine. EDC sponsors CCT, a telementoring network especially for young women. One of the special features of CCT is the visualization lounge--reserved for visual depictions of abstract formulae.
