Many telecommunications projects focus on the middle school level where it is presumed that students have attained a suffient, general skill level to engage in these projects at least semi-autonomously and the curriculum is not so rigid that interdisciplinary projects cannot be accommodated. This center will help ground such projects within the context of middle school education rather than graft them onto an age group.
