Since so many products are available for integrating studies, just two for different age groups are shelved here. The Way Things Work, a classic book explaining all manner of everyday machines as well as scientific principles and biographies of inventors, has been transformed into a world of moving objects and 20 animated movies. Humor has been added, also. Many teachers rate it higher than the book.
The Bit-Bot Math Voyager for young children presents challenging math problems in an underwater environment.
Simple Machines provides a wide variety of links to sites on simple machines (levers, springs, gears, etc.) as well as instructor information & lesson plans.
Annotation
Again, the best use of The Way Things Work is to align the contents within the context of your curriculum and make real machines available to your students, as they study the workings.
