For advanced students Adobe's Photoshop imparts incredible knowledge of solid geometry (such as "shadows"), color spectrum, mapping and perspective, light and filters via altering photos. Productions are coffeetable artwork--they are that good.The Adobe Tutorial Online will bring folks up to speed! Here, the synergy between art and science and math is outstanding.
