Information and photos about just about any animal can be studied at Cyberark...
At the National Zoo's website, you can solve jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles, take a virtual world tour, send an e-card, learn about animals and their names.
Petstation offers an online forum and bookstore where every resource is about pets.
NetVet, an electronic zoo, is an in-depth aide about caring for pets.
The Smithsonian Institute maintains our national zoo.
If your dog wishes a Web site of his/her own, look at Dogster.
Switch Zoo encourages students to re-arrange parts of animals into new animals. An interesting perspective.
A virtual visit to the online Bronx zoo includes a conferencing capability.
In contrast to zoos is a wonderful site called Animal Detector; it describes a family who left enticing food on the back porch at night so they could study nocturnal animals.
Zoos are a popular topic for younger students.None of these sites offers more than a similar published book.Altogether, though, the contents are probably more comprehensive than you would find in a medium-sized library.
