Prepared by students as an entry in the ThinkQuest contest, the CHEMystery site is a short, virtual textbook in chemistry. Though the information is brief, the topics are comprehensive. The basic material of the environment, like physics fundamentals, is explained here.

Chemistry is Cool, designed by a teacher, offers practical homework helpers for chemistry students. It's cute. ChemTeam, another site created for high school students, includes tutorials and worksheets (e.g. atomic structure) and, almost best of all, humor and history.

Virtual Chemistry is a version of a virtual chemistry lab. Its topics, such as super-conductors, have not been included in other sites.

Information on the topic of polymers (like "Why does shrink wrap plastic shrink?") can be found at the Polymer Science Learning Center site.

The Chemistry Place, a subscription-based Web site, aims to offer up-to-the-minute Web news for chemistry teachers, including surveys of available plug-ins to enhance chemical representations.

Cooking is a true experience in chemistry. Look at the mini-experiments at the Exploratorium Museum in San Francisco.
